Deck overview

This Jeskai spellslinger deck helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest is a wizard-tribal value engine that converts legendary-wizard density into free instant and sorcery casts at the beginning of combat. The primary game plan develops a critical mass of legendary wizards - typically 3-4 - to scale Gandalf's free-cast ability to Aurelia, the Warleader, Full Throttle, Flying Crane Technique, or Insurrection, then chains multiple combats for an explosive combat-kill. Secondary value lines deploy Glamdring for additional free spells on combat damage, Lier, Disciple of the Drowned for flashback recursion, and the Kykar, Wind's Fury + Storm-Kiln Artist treasure engine to accelerate. The win is almost always combat damage through extra combat phases and team-wide pump from Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Veyran, Voice of Duality.
