Deck overview

This deck is a focused Golgari Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy piloted by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The game plan accelerates mana in the early turns, establishes sacrifice outlets, and uses Meren to recur high-utility creatures every end step. Cards like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Spore Frog, and Accursed Marauder provide continuous mana development, combat defense, and board control while steadily building experience counters. As the graveyard fills through self-mill and dedicated tutors like Buried Alive and Lively Dirge, the deck transitions into lethal aristocrat loops. The primary win condition combines Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat to drain all opponents in a single turn. Alternatively, recurring devastating enter-the-battlefield and death triggers from Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Kokusho, the Evening Star delivers overwhelming life swings. While weak to instant-speed graveyard exile and lacking stack counterplay, the deck features resilient, redundant engines that reliably grind down opposing boards and execute swift finishes.
