Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet token-swarm and artifact-synergy strategy commanded by Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer. The primary game plan develops early board presence by deploying cost-efficient artifact ramp and low-mana token generators like Third Path Iconoclast, Sai, Master Thopterist, and Chrome Host Seedshark. Once the deck establishes a foundation of small creature, Treasure, or Clue tokens, it casts Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer to grant all tokens haste. The commander immediately unifies the entire swarm into copies of the most impactful token available, such as a Myr Battlesphere, a 5/5 Dragon from Dragonmaster Outcast, or a token copy made by Quasiduplicate or Helm of the Host. The deck protects this explosive transition using a robust suite of efficient counterspells and targeted removal, quickly overwhelming opposing life totals in one or two decisive combat steps. Backup lines leverage independent token engines like The Locust God or high-impact clone spells to maintain pressure if the commander is removed.
