Deck overview

This Abzan deck weaponizes high toughness and the defender mechanic under Felothar the Steadfast. In the early turns, it deploys efficient walls and mana dorks like Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian to establish substantial board presence and acceleration. Once Felothar or redundant enablers like Doran, the Siege Tower and Assault Formation resolve, low-cost defenders hit with massive combat power. Felothar also converts 0-power walls into pure card draw without discard penalties. The deck controls the tempo through asymmetric stax pieces like Meekstone and Blind Obedience, alongside seven one-sided board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and The Battle of Bywater that destroy high-power opposing armies while leaving the pilot's high-toughness board intact.
