Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aggro-attrition and aristocrats build centered on Gorbag of Minas Morgul. The primary strategy curves out early with evasive, low-cost Goblins and Orcs like Changeling Outcast and Prickly Boggart to trigger Gorbag on Turn 3. Connecting in combat allows you to sacrifice your attackers to generate early Treasure mana or replenish your hand, rapidly deploying midgame engines like Black Market Connections, March from the Black Gate, and Morbid Opportunist. In the late game, the deck shifts from combat chip damage into lethal table-wide attrition, utilizing high-impact finishers like Dire Fleet Ravager, Mirkwood Bats, and Blood Artist to drain opponents symmetrically. While the deck possesses dense, efficient spot removal and strong recovery through recursion, its mono-black identity leaves it vulnerable to artifact-based strategies and board wipes due to a lack of stack interaction and reactive protection.
