Deck overview

This Orzhov aristocrats deck is built around Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim as a value engine that gains life and drains opponents whenever creatures enter or die. The deck leans heavily into the Phyrexian creature type, packing a dense roster of small bodies with deathtouch, infect, or toxic, supported by sacrifice outlets and payoffs like Marauding Blight-Priest and Vraan, Executioner Thane. The primary win condition is incremental life-drain via repeated creature ETB/death triggers, with a secondary path through poison counters from creatures like Bilious Skulldweller and White Sun's Twilight tokens. The deck has no infinite combos and no tutors, making it a slow, value-grind strategy that relies on topdecking its synergistic pieces and out-valuing opponents over many turns.
