Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Grist, the Hunger Tide as both an engine commander and a versatile win condition, focusing on Insect tribal synergies and self-mill mechanics. In the early game, cheap acceleration enables a Turn 3 Grist deployment, which immediately generates 1/1 Insect tokens and mills creature cards into the graveyard. The mid-game expands this board presence through token multipliers like Springheart Nantuko and Ant Queen, while converting excess tokens into cards or mana via Skullclamp and Ashnod's Altar.
