Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. The commander provides an uninterruptible cost reduction from the command zone through Eminence, allowing you to cast expensive, evasive threats ahead of curve. The deck focuses on stacking artifact cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Sapphire Medallion to deploy value engines such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Consecrated Sphinx, and Tivit, Seller of Secrets by Turn 4. Once assembled, the deck rapidly churns through the library with Fact or Fiction triggers, filling the board with high-toughness flying creatures. Lethal pressure starts on Turn 6 with impactful bombs like Magister Sphinx and Medomai the Ageless, culminating in a full table elimination via combat damage by Turn 8. Strong mass reanimation via Patriarch's Bidding and protective spells like Dawn's Truce give the deck exceptional resilience against removal and board wipes.
