Deck overview

This mono-black combo deck leverages K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to convert life into black mana, dramatically accelerating its game plan. The primary strategy focuses on using fast mana and cheap tutors to cast Buried Alive, depositing Necrotic Ooze, Asmodeus the Archfiend, and Skirge Familiar into the graveyard. Reanimating Necrotic Ooze allows the pilot to draw the entire library without the life-loss drawback of Asmodeus's replacement effect, generating infinite mana via Skirge Familiar. From there, the deck closes the game immediately on Turn 3 using Gray Merchant of Asphodel loops or Aetherflux Reservoir bursts.
