Deck overview

Rat King, Verminister leads a monoblack Rat-tribal swarm deck. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with Rat Colony and Relentless Rats, using token producers and sacrifice-draw spells to feed the graveyard; the commander then turns that graveyard into an army by returning every copy of one dead Rat at once. Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat convert creature deaths into life loss, and Crypt Rats with Cabal Coffers can act as an alternate sweeper/finisher. Karumonix and Blightbelly Rat provide a poison subtheme, but the deck is not built around it. There is no hidden commander; Rat King, Pale Piper and the other legendary Rats are support pieces.
