Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch commands a synergistic Jund -1/-1 counter engine that converts creature attrition into card advantage, wide token boards, and relentless life drain. The deck uses low-cost ramp spells on the first two turns to cast Auntie Ool on turn three or four alongside enablers like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Devoted Druid. Placing -1/-1 counters on friendly creatures draws cards through Auntie Ool, while placing them on opposing creatures chips away at their life totals. By turn five, the deck establishes dominant board control using mass counter distributors like Carnifex Demon and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, or hard creature locks with Kulrath Knight and Maha, Its Feathers Night. It secures victory by turn seven through overwhelming token combat, non-combat life drain, or an infinite damage loop between All Will Be One and Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin.
