Queens Court by DTCook

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa heads a Mardu monarch/politics deck that wins by letting opponents fight each other while she accumulates monarch draws, Assassin tokens, and damage-doubling pieces. The early game drops Marchesa on turn three to seize the monarch; goad effects and pillow-fort enchantments steer attacks away. The late game uses Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, double-strike effects, and the two Swords to turn an equipped Marchesa into a lethal 21-damage commander, or weaponizes Brash Taunter with Fire Covenant as a life-based removal/win outlet. The deck is interactive and resilient, with Sunforger tutoring instant-speed answers and Teferi's Protection/Boros Charm protecting the critical board, but it rarely wins before the mid-game because it has no dedicated fast combo.
