Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange reanimator strategy helmed by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The primary plan uses a dense suite of surveil spells to continuously stock the graveyard, curate draws, and grow Mirko with +1/+1 counters. Each end step, Mirko reanimates a creature with power lower than his own, creating compounding card advantage from utility creatures before transitioning into high-impact threats like Grave Titan, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Twilight Prophet. The deck operates smoothly on curve, establishing its primary engine by Turn 4 and threatening lethal combat around Turn 6. Because it relies heavily on the graveyard and gradual combat damage across multiple turn cycles, it is susceptible to well-timed board wipes and graveyard exile effects. In exchange, the deck offers high functional redundancy, resilient backup reanimation lines, and steady creature-based interaction.
