Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal stompy deck commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early artifact ramp and cost reducers such as Dragonlord's Servant and Herald's Horn to cast Lathliss ahead of curve. Once Lathliss is established, every subsequent nontoken Dragon spell generates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token, creating rapid board presence. Damage amplifiers and direct burn engines like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Terror of Mount Velus turn every creature cast into immediate removal and lethal burst damage. The deck controls opposing creature-based boards using asymmetric sweepers like Breath Weapon and Earthquake, which clear ground blockers while leaving flying Dragons untouched. While vulnerable to mass removal and lacking countermagic, the deck's high density of individual Dragon bombs ensures consistent late-game combat threat density even if the commander is removed.
