Itazura X-spells by Dendrobate

Format: Commander

Commander: Itazura, Lingering Wick

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet X-spell "big mana" deck helmed by Itazura, Lingering Wick, whose upkeep ability is treated primarily as a one-card-per-turn draw engine - opponents will always choose 0, making the damage irrelevant. The deck's core plan is to accumulate massive mana through rituals (Mana Geyser, Seething Song, Irencrag Feat) and the X-mana rock Astral Cornucopia, then cast an enormous X spell (Crackle with Power, Culmination of Studies, Exocrine) and multiply it with copy effects (Twincast, Reverberate, Dualcaster Mage, Narset's Reversal). Win conditions are almost entirely burn-based, often symmetric. The deck is slow, lacks reliable card flow, and has no tutors, making it highly inconsistent. Its low creature count and self-damaging wipes create significant self-harm problems.
