Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth leads a Golgari aristocrats and reanimator strategy centered on sacrificing creatures for incremental board control and recurring high-impact threats. Early turns focus on ramping and stocking the graveyard with self-sacrificing utility creatures like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Accursed Marauder, and Plaguecrafter. As Meren accumulates experience counters, she freely reanimates engines and win conditions each end step without paying mana. The deck closes games by repeatedly looping life-draining creatures such as Kokusho, the Evening Star and Gray Merchant of Asphodel with sacrifice outlets, or resolving a massive Living Death to eliminate all opponents simultaneously.
