Deck overview

This deck is an optimized mono-blue control and combo strategy commanded by Gandalf, Friend of the Shire. By granting all sorcery spells flash, Gandalf transforms heavy, high-impact spells like Time Spiral, Season of Weaving, and Enter the Infinite into lethal instant-speed ambushes. The deck pairs explosive mana velocity—fueled by artifacts, High Tide, and untap effects—with an impenetrable suite of free and low-cost countermagic including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Mindbreak Trap. Early game lines deploy asymmetric mana denial via Back to Basics and Harbinger of the Seas, severely stalling multi-color opponents while preserving basic Island mana. Once established, the deck transitions into game-ending dominance by flashing in Hullbreaker Horror to bounce all opposing permanents and generate infinite mana with zero-to-two-mana rocks. From there, drawing the library with The One Ring into Enter the Infinite and Nexus of Fate secures an immediate, uninterrupted victory through infinite extra turns.
