Deck overview

This deck is built around Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief, turning cheap single-target cantrips, protection spells, and powerful Auras into doubled value engines. By maintaining Ivy alongside a secondary creature, any single-target spell cast on the partner generates a free token copy targeting Ivy. This setup turns 1-mana cantrips into +1 card advantage engines and doubles the board presence of massive power buffs like Ancestral Mask, Auramancer's Guise, and Nerd Rage. The deck ramps into its commander on Turn 2, establishes dual-creature board states by Turn 4, and threatens lethal combat eliminations starting on Turn 5. Highly efficient protective instants like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Slip Out the Back double across both threats, safeguarding the board against targeted removal and board wipes. While the deck possesses incredible draw velocity and resilient multi-threat combat pressure, it runs virtually no reactive countermagic or noncreature removal, relying on speed and protection to close games.
