Deck overview

This Simic Landfall deck is commanded by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, focusing on rapid mana acceleration, continuous land drops, and massive card draw. The early game establishes acceleration using efficient 1-2 CMC ramp pieces like Exploration, Burgeoning, Lotus Cobra, and Nature's Lore. By Turn 4, the deck casts Aesi to unlock additional land drops and draw triggers, rapidly sifting through the library. On Turn 5, it deploys catastrophic landfall payoffs including Cultivator Colossus, Scapeshift alongside Scute Swarm, or Avenger of Zendikar. The resulting army closes out the table on Turn 6 via combat overruns powered by Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation. The list features robust countermagic like Fierce Guardianship and Mana Drain to protect its board, paired with late-game loops such as Walk the Aeons with Ancient Greenwarden to ensure total inevitability.
