Deck overview

This five-color spellslinger deck leverages Codie, Ravenous Codex to double the impact of creatures with prepare spells. By casting high-value spell copies such as Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, the deck generates explosive bursts of cards and mana. Magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, and Veyran, Voice of Duality rapidly compound this advantage into a decisive storm turn. Instant-speed flicker spells such as Ephemerate and Eerie Interlude provide dual functionality: they protect critical creatures from removal while resetting their 'enters prepared' status for additional spell casts. The deck cleanly converts big mana and spell velocity into a same-turn win around Turn 5 using Vivi Ornitier burn triggers, Passionate Archaeologist damage, or a copied Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. With strong interaction and resilient recursion, the deck maintains high tempo while assembling its explosive finishes.
