Deck overview

Mica, Reader of Ruins leads a high-velocity mono-red spellslinger and artifact deck focused on converting cheap artifact fodder and Treasure tokens into duplicated spells. The game plan centers on ramping into Mica on Turn 4, followed by doubling high-value looting spells like Big Score and Demand Answers to dig rapidly through the library. Synergistic engines such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Crime Novelist, and Academy Manufactor amplify this loop, turning every cast and artifact sacrifice into additional mana and resources. The deck leverages explosive mana generation from rituals like Mana Geyser and Jeska's Will to unleash game-ending X-spells, primarily Crackle with Power and Jaya's Immolating Inferno, wiping out all three opponents in a single turn. With Underworld Breach serving as a potent late-game engine and redirection spells like Deflecting Swat providing stack protection, the deck delivers consistent, lethal direct-damage finishes around Turn 6 while maintaining a resilient card advantage engine.
