Deck overview

This Jund deck pairs Tana, the Bloodsower with Falthis, Shadowcat Familiar to execute an aggressive combat strategy that rapidly pivots into a wide token swarm. Falthis gives commanders menace and deathtouch, which turns Tana's native trample into a devastating engine. Because deathtouch requires assigning only a single point of damage to each blocker, nearly all of Tana's power tramples directly into the defending player. Casting low-cost pump spells like Invigorate, Berserk, or Unleash Fury lets Tana create 8 to 12 Saproling tokens in a single combat step on Turn 4. The deck then uses team-wide overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede, Earthshaker Giant, and Overrun to eliminate opponents across Turns 5 and 6. Draw engines like Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician convert extra tokens into resources, maintaining momentum against interaction.
