Deck overview

This Esper spellslinger deck is commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, aiming to control the game through high-impact noncreature spells while turning every 3+ mana value cast into direct damage, life gain, and card advantage. By attaching damage-trigger Auras like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Helm of the Ghastlord to Y'shtola, every 3+ mana value spell deals 2 damage to each opponent and draws three cards. The deck leverages efficient interaction such as Void Rend, Anguished Unmaking, and Dovin's Veto alongside pillowfort pieces like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda to slow down aggressive opponents. It closes games by draining life totals with Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Delney, Streetwise Lookout, poisoning opponents via Phyresis, or executing a compact win with Approach of the Second Sun, which it easily redraws in a single turn rotation using its potent card-drawing engine.
