Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, focusing on building a compounding board presence of resilient undead creatures and exploiting aristocrat sacrifice loops. Early turns focus on mana rocks and low-cost Zombies such as Cryptbreaker and Gravecrawler. Once Wilhelt hits the battlefield on Turn 4, every dying Zombie generates a decayed token while refilling your hand at the end step. By Turn 6, the deck converts this board into lethal pressure through lords like Death Baron, mass token creators like Grave Titan, or asymmetric control engines like Grave Pact and Noxious Ghoul. While the deck naturally grinds opponents down across two combat rotations to close on Turn 8, it also features a compact instant-win combo: casting Acererak the Archlich repeatedly for free alongside Rooftop Storm to drain the entire table through the Lost Mine of Phandelver.
