Deck overview

This deck is a classic Zedruu the Greathearted control and Bad Gifts list in Jeskai colors. Its game plan focuses on deploying early resource-generating permanents and political tools, establishing robust pillowfort defenses with cards like Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety, and using Zedruu to donate permanents to opponents. By maintaining a large count of donated permanents, the deck generates immense card advantage and life gain each upkeep. It controls the table using efficient counterspells and removal while disabling creature-heavy opponents through gifts like Steel Golem and Statecraft. Once the game is stabilized, the deck closes out matches through alternate win conditions such as Felidar Sovereign, Approach of the Second Sun, or direct lethal gifts like Transcendence and Illusions of Grandeur.
