Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, functioning as a hybrid go-wide creature swarm and aristocrats strategy. The game plan centers on deploying Chatterfang on curve to double all token production—turning every Food, Treasure, Clue, and creature token into additional 1/1 green Squirrels. These tokens serve dual purposes: fueling Chatterfang's built-in removal ability ({B}, sacrifice X Squirrels to grant +X/-X) to dominate the creature board, and fueling sacrifice payoffs such as Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, Nadier's Nightblade, and Mirkwood Bats. The deck also contains explosive win conditions including Beastmaster Ascension, End-Raze Forerunners, and the two-card infinite combo of Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak, which generates infinite Squirrel tokens. Supported by steady card draw from Idol of Oblivion, Toski, Bearer of Secrets, and Morbid Opportunist, the deck transitions into lethal combat swings and drain sequences by mid-game.
