Black Death by myehpate2

Format: Commander

Commander: Karumonix, the Rat King

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Karumonix, the Rat King is a mono-black token swarm deck that plays a wide board of Rats and turns it into poison counters. The commander is both a draw engine and the toxic vector: his ETB finds Rats, and his static ability gives every other Rat toxic 1. The primary plan is to flood the board with Rat tokens, then attack with enough toxic Rats to give each opponent 10 poison counters. Secondary paths include infect cards like Septic Rats and Inkmoth Nexus, Valley Rotcaller's life drain, and mass recursion from Haunting Voyage and Bloodline Bidding. Marrow-Gnawer acts as a hidden commander, multiplying the swarm and giving fear.
