Marchesa Akido by WarOfLion

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa commands a reactive Mardu Aikido deck designed to manipulate combat, deflect lethal aggression, and punish overextended opponents. The deck establishes early defensive value through the monarch, tax effects, and pillowfort tools like Ghostly Prison. Once opponents commit to large boards, goad sorceries like Disrupt Decorum and Taunt from the Rampart force them to deplete each other's life totals. You secure victory by turning opponent attacks back against them with instant-speed blowouts like Inkshield, Comeuppance, and Deflecting Palm, or by finishing remaining players with Luminarch Ascension angel swarms, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight damage doubling, and Sunforger utility.
