Deck overview

Helmed by Karador, Ghost Chieftain, this is an Abzan self-mill reanimator-combo deck whose entire plan is routed through the graveyard. Hermit Druid is the headliner: with only two basic lands in the whole deck (one Forest, one Plains), a single activation dumps the majority of the library into the yard, shrinking Karador's cost to near zero and stocking every combo piece at once. The deck then wins through an interlocking web of infinite loops - the flagship being Boonweaver Giant + Pattern of Rebirth into a sacrifice outlet, paid off by Blood Artist-class drain - with Karmic Guide, Reveillark, Saffi Eriksdotter, and Living Death providing both assembly and rebuild. A dense tutor package (Eladamri's Call, Enlightened Tutor, Buried Alive, Entomb, Fauna Shaman, Defense of the Heart) finds the pieces quickly. Karador serves as the recursion engine that recasts a key creature every turn, but every winning line lives entirely in the 99.
