A/UA Gary, the Snail by Mikey42069

Format: Commander

Commander: Toxrill, the Corrosive

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toxrill, the Corrosive pilots a UB control deck that wins by making every end step a repeated -1/-1 purge. The commander turns opponents' creatures into Slugs, which then fuel card draw, Treasure generation, and Blood Artist-style drains. Backup plans are artifact beatdown (Kappa Cannoneer, Chasm Skulker, Thopter Spy Network) and graveyard recursion. The deck is built almost entirely around the commander's engine; without it, the slug/drain axis stops, leaving slower combat. It has strong instant-speed interaction and counterspells but no compact combo, so games are long and grindy. The hidden tutor layer from Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor and Demonic Tutor helps find the missing piece at each stage.
