Deck overview

This deck is a high-power aggressive midrange build centered on Kaalia of the Vast. The core game plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 using low-cost mana rocks like Sol Ring and Chrome Mox. On Turn 4, Kaalia attacks to cheat overwhelming threats directly from hand, such as Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, or Ancient Copper Dragon. To safeguard this linear strategy, the list integrates turn-silencing protection pieces like Grand Abolisher and Voice of Victory, alongside indestructible enablers like Flawless Maneuver and Teferi's Protection. It also applies asymmetric pressure through hatebears like Drannith Magistrate and Linvala, Keeper of Silence to shut down opposing commanders and activated abilities. As a compact alternate win condition, Godo, Bandit Warlord tutors Helm of the Host to generate infinite combat steps, allowing the deck to close games swiftly through combat.
