New Untitled Deck by user4076964

Format: Commander

Commander: Hakbal of the Surging Soul

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Hakbal of the Surging Soul is the engine, not a finisher. The deck is a Merfolk-tribal go-wide strategy: early cheap Merfolk, token producers, and lords turn Hakbal's explore triggers into +1/+1 counters and extra land drops. The primary path is combat damage, with islandwalk and unblockable effects punching through; a secondary path is the Emperor Mihail II/Reflections engine that keeps casting Merfolk from the top of the library. Itlimoc, Cradle of the Sun is a late-game mana payoff, not a hidden commander. There is no infinite combo, so the normal game is to grind out all three opponents with a large unblockable army.
