Deck overview

This Esper enchantment deck combines pillowfort control with compact combo finishes. Commanded by Zur, Eternal Schemer, the list uses cost reducers and mana rocks to establish stable mana velocity, deploying passive defenses such as Blind Obedience, Authority of the Consuls, and Sphere of Safety to neutralize aggressive combat strategies. Dense card advantage from Rhystic Study and Black Market Connections fuels rapid access to tutors like Demonic Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, and Idyllic Tutor. The deck's primary victory line unites Exquisite Blood with any of several life-drain engines, including Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Once a single life change occurs, the resulting infinite loop eliminates all three opponents simultaneously on turn 5. Backed by free countermagic, hexproof granting, and mass reanimation via Replenish, the deck presents resilient threat lines while maintaining solid defense against wide boards.
