Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by Teval, the Balanced Scale, focusing on a resilient midrange game plan that leverages self-mill, land recursion, and 'leaves graveyard' triggers. Early turns are spent deploying mana acceleration and self-mill enablers like Stitcher's Supplier, Hedron Crab, and Skull Prophet. Once Teval enters combat on Turn 5, it accelerates mana by returning milled lands to play while generating an army of 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens. Midgame engines like Tormod, the Desecrator, Gisa and Geralf, and Teval's Judgment multiply token generation and card flow. The deck establishes a critical must-answer board around Turn 7 with mass reanimation or payoffs like Rot Hulk, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, Colossal Grave-Reaver, or Syr Konrad, the Grim. Evasion granted by Eternal Skylord and Gleaming Overseer allows the Zombie horde to close out the game through combat and drain by Turn 9.
