Deck overview

This Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck operates as a hybrid 5-color Dragon toolbox and reanimator engine. Leveraging a dense suite of 13 low-mana ramp spells and mana fixers, the deck consistently deploys Scion of the Ur-Dragon on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Scion initiates a lethal must-answer clock by utilizing its instant-speed Dragon tutor ability to stack Atarka, World Render and Moltensteel Dragon, pumping its power with Phyrexian life payments to eliminate an opponent with 24 commander damage in a single swing. Entombed Dragons then fuel powerful reanimation spells like Living Death, Patriarch's Bidding, and Animate Dead, allowing the deck to flood the board with massive fliers like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Dragonlord Dromoka, and Balefire Dragon. While the list possesses immense damage output and modular resilience through Scion's transformation capabilities, its lack of instant-speed counterspells leaves it reliant on proactive pressure and combat timing.
