Deck overview

This deck is a Jund discard attrition and hand-size stax strategy led by Winter, Misanthropic Guide. The game plan revolves around leveraging Winter's symmetrical card draw to flood opponents with resources, while rapidly achieving delirium to constrict their maximum hand size down to three, two, or even zero cards. Once opponents are forced to discard excess cards at the end of each turn, the deck capitalizes on mass discard and sacrifice engines such as Tergrid, God of Fright, Dark Deal, Fell Specter, and Smokestack to steal permanents, drain life totals, and systematically strip opposing resources. Graveyard filling via self-mill cards like Mulch and Skull Prophet fuels both delirium and potent reanimation spells, bringing back game-ending threats including Rune-Scarred Demon, Necrogoyf, and Geth, Lord of the Vault. With broad removal options and steady card velocity from the command zone, the deck grinds down opposing boards and closes the game through overwhelming resource disparity and decisive combat damage.
