Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Golgari Squirrel tribal deck swarms the board with 1/1 Squirrels and Food tokens, then wins by going wide. Hazel of the Rootbloom acts as a mana engine and token doubler, tapping untapped tokens for mana and copying a token at each end step (two copies if it is a Squirrel). Doublers like Chatterfang, Parallel Lives and Doubling Season turn each Squirrel into many, while anthems and finishers such as Beastmaster Ascension, End-Raze Forerunners and Preposterous Proportions close the game. Secondary paths drain opponents with Mirkwood Bats and Bastion of Remembrance or poison with Bloodroot Apothecary. Chatterfang functions as a hidden commander, providing the core token-doubling effect even without Hazel.
