Deck overview

This Orzhov midrange deck turns the severe drawbacks of undercosted beaters into game-winning assets. By using Abigale, Eloquent First-Year from the command zone, it targets massive early creatures like Phyrexian Soulgorger, Rotting Regisaur, and Lupine Prototype to erase their self-destructive text while granting them flying, first strike, and lifelink counters. The deck then accelerates these giant bodies into lethal swings using life-drain engines like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, massive card draw via Disciple of Bolas and Susur Secundi, Void Altar, or charge counters for Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought. Backed by premium black tutors, efficient exile removal, and cheap blink protection, the list applies consistent aerial pressure that closes out tables around Turn 7.
