Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

K'rrik turns life into black mana, letting this mono-black deck turbo out expensive demons and dig spells. The primary plan is to cast K'rrik by turn three, then resolve Peer into Abyss on yourself-the deck's hidden commander-to draw half the library, fuel Bolas's Citadel, and assemble Bloodletter of Aclazotz plus Wound Reflection with a large Exsanguinate. Secondary paths use Unstoppable Slasher and Blood Tribute to snipe opponents, or Gray Merchant and Vein Ripper to grind life totals. Reanimation and high-value demons (Vilis, Razaketh) provide alternative engine pieces. The commander accelerates every line, but the named combos do not require him on the battlefield.
