Deck overview

This deck is a focused Grixis upkeep-control deck commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating Obeka onto the battlefield on Turn 3 via 2-mana artifacts, granting her evasion with cards like Aqueous Form or Whispersilk Cloak, and dealing combat damage to unlock multiple additional upkeep steps during the postcombat main phase. These extra upkeeps supercharge an extensive suite of powerful upkeep triggers, including Monarch Courts (Court of Ambition, Court of Embereth), massive card advantage engines (Phyrexian Arena, Plargg and Nassari, Twilight Prophet), and win conditions like Darksteel Reactor and Dragonmaster Outcast. The deck controls the game by rapidly stripping opposing hands and applying heavy burn across all three opponents simultaneously. Supported by cheap countermagic, defensive equipment, and combat control via Silent Arbiter, the deck achieves high compounding advantage and reliably eliminates the table within two response cycles after establishing its engine.
