Deck overview

This deck executes a tempo-oriented strategy built around Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It deploys cheap, unblockable 1-drop creatures on Turn 1 to trigger Commander Ninjutsu on Turn 2. Connecting with Ninjas triggers Yuriko to reveal the top card of the library, drawing that card and causing each opponent to lose life equal to its mana value. The deck inflates this damage using high-mana-value spells such as Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and Dig Through Time, which are cheaply cast or delved later. Top-deck tutors and manipulation tools like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Scroll Rack ensure these high-cost cards sit on top of the library during combat. A dense suite of free interaction, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deadly Rollick, protects the board and disrupts opposing threats without slowing down the offensive clock. The deck consistently closes games by Turn 5.
