Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros tribal strategy centered on Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The game plan establishes an early board of low-cost Dwarf creatures before deploying Thorin on Turn 5. Thorin converts every subsequent Dwarf entrance into a Treasure token while providing a static power boost to all other Dwarves scaled directly to the number of artifact tokens in play. By stacking Treasures and utilizing combat enhancements such as Equipment, double strike from Dáin Ironfoot, and trample from Crash Through, the deck transforms humble utility creatures into high-power threats. While the deck features explosive combat bursts on Turns 6 through 8, it operates primarily at sorcery speed and relies heavily on maintaining a wide creature board. Its interaction and protection suites are relatively light, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes, but alternative engines like Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Smaug the Magnificent provide resilient secondary offensive pressure.
