Aragorn's Rot Priest by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Aragorn, the Uniter

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity "Spellslinger-Heroic" build featuring Aragorn, the Uniter as a massive value engine in the command zone. The primary strategy is to go wide with token generators like Kykar, Wind's Fury, Saheeli, Sublime Artificer, and Third Path Iconoclast, then utilize "target-all" copy effects like Zada, Hedron Grinder, Mirrorwing Dragon, or Ink-Treader Nephilim to turn single-target cantrips into massive card draw and board-wide buffs. Aragorn provides constant incremental value: creating blockers, scrying for consistency, burning opponents, and pumping creatures for lethal swings. The deck wins through overwhelming combat damage, often facilitated by trample-granting cantrips like Ancestral Anger, or via alternative win conditions like Venerated Rotpriest poison clocks. It excels at churning through the library, using low-CMC spells to trigger multiple "Magecraft" and "Heroic" abilities simultaneously, creating a snowball effect that is difficult to contain once the engine is online.
