Commander: Shelob, Child of Ungoliant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Shelob, Child of Ungoliant is the deck's control engine and finisher enabler. The primary plan is to ramp to six mana, resolve Shelob, then use deathtouch Spiders with cheap ping effects such as Viridian Longbow and Pathway Arrows to kill creatures and convert them into Food copies. Secondary paths build a wide Spider token force with Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Twin-Silk Spider, Drider, Lolth, and Idol of Oblivion, then finish with Beastmaster Ascension or Overwhelming Stampede. The deck has no hidden commander; Shelob is the centerpiece. A narrow Devoted Druid Food-copy mana engine exists, but its outlets are limited, so it is an enabler rather than the primary kill.
