Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange strategy focused on kindred synergies and +1/+1 counters under the command of Blech, Loafing Pest. The game plan accelerates through dense low-cost green ramp to deploy the commander on turn 3, followed by a wide array of token creators producing Pests, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Incremental lifegain engines like Essence Warden and dying Pest tokens trigger Blech, Loafing Pest repeatedly, rapidly buffing the kindred army with +1/+1 counters. Counter multipliers like Branching Evolution and Hardened Scales accelerate this growth into an overwhelming combat presence. In addition to combat damage, the deck incorporates aristocrat drains via Dina, Soul Steeper and Blood Artist, converting token sacrifices into direct damage. Robust Golgari spot removal clears opposing threats while protection spells shield the board against sweepers.
