Kuroki by moenach

Format: Commander

Commander: Kuroki, Thief of Talents

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black "steal and grow" midrange deck built around Kuroki, Thief of Talents. The commander's end-step trigger asks each turn whether an opponent wants to let you cast a spell from their hand for free, or feed Kuroki +1/+1 counters. The deck is built to make both choices painful: discard effects like Bandit's Talent and Dark Deal empty hands, Waste Not and Scrawling Crawler convert those discards into resources, and a compact voltron package of Fireshrieker, Blackblade Reforged, Lightning Greaves, and Mithril Coat turns Kuroki into a commander-damage clock. A heavy reanimation/theft package featuring Breach the Multiverse, Boneyard Parley, and Reanimate provides a backup axis, while Gray Merchant of Asphodel can close games through devotion drain. Big-mana engines like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast power the expensive spells.
