Buzzing Sunrise by Dendrex

Format: Commander

Commander: The Locust God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet deck is built around The Locust God, leveraging its ability to create flying, hasty Insect tokens whenever you draw a card. The primary game plan is to deploy the commander as early as possible, then chain wheel effects (Echo of Eons, Teferi's Puzzle Box, Arjun, the Shifting Flame) and premium draw engines (Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora) to generate an overwhelming token army. Win conditions include combat damage from the swarm, Impact Tremors and Raphael, Tough Turtle for ping damage, Psychosis Crawler for life loss on each draw, and Surge to Victory for a massive combat pump. The deck is heavily reliant on the commander and lacks robust tutoring, making it a high draw, low tutor strategy that wins through sheer card volume rather than compact combos.
