Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes The Mycotyrant to orchestrate a high-velocity graveyard engine that converts self-mill and sacrifice into an expanding army of Fungus tokens. Operating on low-cost dredge enablers like Golgari Grave-Troll and efficient mill spells like Stitcher's Supplier and Grisly Salvage, the deck consistently descends multiple times per turn. This rapid accumulation of cards in the graveyard simultaneously inflates the commander's power and triggers massive end-step token production. The deck transitions into lethal pressure around Turn 5 by leveraging force multipliers such as Coat of Arms for devastating combat steps, or aristocrat drain engines like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Mirkwood Bats, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to bypass blockers and drain all opponents simultaneously. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and lacking fast stack interaction, the deck exhibits outstanding engine resilience, effortlessly rebuilding board presence and graveyard velocity through potent recursion spells like Dread Return and Victimize.
