Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Midrange build centered around Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder, leveraging combat damage triggers to grant cascade to every spell cast from hand during the post-combat main phase. The deck combines high-impact cascade payoffs like Apex Devastator and Maelstrom Wanderer with a dense suite of symmetric wheel effects including Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Reforge the Soul. These wheels simultaneously refill the pilot's hand to sustain continuous cascading while triggering punishing attrition engines such as Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Waste Not, and Consuming Aberration. While the deck possesses explosive turn potential and massive card throughput, it relies heavily on Yidris connecting in combat without built-in haste or dense protection. A mana base with numerous tapped lands moderates its early velocity, placing its reliable critical onset on Turn 6 and finishing around Turn 8 through wide combat damage and direct life loss.
