Deck overview

This deck uses Breena, the Demagogue at the helm of an Orzhov hatebear strategy. It slows down faster opponents using tax and Rule of Law effects, such as Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Deafening Silence, and Archon of Emeria. While opponents struggle under resource constraints, Breena turns small disruptive creatures into large lethal threats by distributing +1/+1 counters each combat. Attacking qualifying opponents also draws two extra cards per turn cycle, keeping the hand full of protection and removal. The deck defends its board with premier shielding tools like Mother of Runes, Selfless Spirit, and Clever Concealment to dodge sweepers. It closes games through relentless evasive combat damage over several turns.
